So, when you rent something on RentBubba, you'll be asked to place a performance deposit for the duration of the rental period. This deposit is a form of security that helps protect the owner of the item being rented.

We understand that some renters may be hesitant to place a deposit, but we want to assure you that the deposit is fully refundable as long as you return the item in the same condition that you received it. We also take steps to ensure that owners do not abuse the deposit system by charging excessive fees or withholding deposits without good reason.

What is a Performance Deposit?

A RentBubba performance deposit is a sum of money that you pay upfront when you rent an item. The amount of the deposit is typically a percentage of the total rental cost, or in some cases, it may be the full value of the rental item. This deposit is held in trust by RentBubba during the rental period and is returned to you when the Owner confirms that you have returned the item in the same condition that you received it.

Why does RentBubba require a Performance Deposit?

The purpose of the performance deposit is to protect the owner of the item being rented. If the item is damaged or lost, the owner can use the deposit to cover the cost of repairs or replacement. This ensures that the owner is not left out of pocket due to a renter's negligence.

How does RentaBubba's Performance Deposit work?

When you place a performance deposit, you're essentially making a promise that you'll take good care of the item you're renting. If you return the item in the same condition that you received it, you'll get your deposit back. However, if you damage the item or don't return it at all, you may forfeit some or all of your deposit.

For your item(s) to be eligible:

        

  • The claim must be submitted within 48 hours of the booking’ end date & time
  • The booking must have been paid for in full and organized through the RentBubba platform
  • The claim is not due to negligence or not following a regular or recommended maintenance schedule
  • Proof is provided of the claim with time stamps to be valid

Here's what you'll need to do

        

  1. Go directly to 'Claims' (under Bubba Protect)
  2. Submit your dispute using the form
  3. Complete all the necessary information with details and pictures
  4. Hold tight! Someone from TeamBubba will be in touch and will approve or deny the claim request.
